Rumor has it that once upon a time in Bathurst, a small country town in New South Wales, Australia, there was a phenomenon. A Rock'N'Roll sensation. A once in a lifetime experience. Dodge Rock.
Years ago, an old box was found when some friends were demolishing an old house in Bathurst. A box of tapes marked simply "Dodge Rock"
The team at the O.C.B. have restored and remastered the recordings founfd on those tapes and chosen 16 tracks for a "best of" album that is 100% pure Dodge.
The rumors of Dodge Rock are infamous. Dingo's blood, broken cars and plenty of broken hearts. They changed their name almost every time they played, they changed their line up almost every time they played. They didn't last long but the legacy is unquestionable. Those that weren't there, wish they were, anyone who was there, can't really remember it.
The list of alleged ex-members is extensive, leading to Dodge Rock to be referred to by one source as “a bit like Australia’s ‘Hawkwind’, but much ruder, louder, and without any of the light show and art stuff… or any of the talent.”
